2019 Millinery Association of Australia Design Award - 1st Runner Up Winner
 
The Millinery Association of Australia (MAA) hold an annual design award competition based on a set theme for members. The 2019 theme was Chiaroscuro, an artistic term meaning the contrast between light and dark. 
 
For my entry I looked to nature for examples of chiaroscuro and felt the red tailed black cockatoo was an stunning example of light and dark contrasts. Particularly the female which unusually in birds is more spectacular than the male. I was absolutely thrilled to be awarded 2nd place for this piece
