Available Soon!

"Home " is currently exhibiting at the Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery +Studio and will be available to purchase on the 14th September 2019.

Home' draws on Amanda's connection with her late father Ron Masters. An avid environmentalist, and Western Australian journey leader, Ron showed Amanda how to love and care for the Western Australian flora and fauna. Ron traversed the state with his young family, camping from Broome to Esperance and everywhere in-between, forming Amanda's strong affinity with the Australian bush.

This capsule collection was completed during Amanda's time as Artist in Residence at the Port Hedland Court House Gallery + Studio and is a sentimental nod to her origins, her home Western Australia. It showcases Amanda's truely original millinery embroidery technique. A slow craft, her paintily embroidery process allows Amanda to connect with the subject matter featured on each of her hats and showcase them in their finest form.

"To me this collection is a love letter to my father who passed away when I was 14 years old. Each piece is inspired by a memory I have of him. Dad was a real character with an enormous sense of humour. He was also a keen photographer with a passion for Australian flora and fauna. Dad immersed us into the landscape and taught us to marvel at its beauty.  I didn't realise as a child, but now I feel he bonded me to this land in such a deep way that when ever I feel a bit lost, its where I go to be restored. Listening to the Corrella's chatter in the silver gum outside my house, the red dirt beneath my feet or just appreciating the wonder of  an amazing Pilbara sunset makes me feel close to him. I tried to create a collection that embodies the beauty of the Australian bush with a side dose of  Dad's (and my) very cheeky sense of humour." - Amanda
